Share Your World – February 27, 2017

This will be a weekly post of the most random of random questions to answer- to share my world! Thanks to Cee’s blog for being the brainchild behind this!

Ever ran out of gas in your vehicle? No, but I had to rescue my husband one time when he did, at midnight on his birthday. He was about 1/2 mile from the gas station!

Which are better: black or green olives? I like the taste of green olives better, but black ones are always best eaten off of your pinky finger.

If you were a great explorer, what would you explore?

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? This is a really hard one for me this time around. Due to my inability to heal myself from chronic illnesses that have their own timetable (specifically the dysautonomia/POTS at this point) I lost my job last week. But I am grateful that the Lord prepared me for it for a full week beforehand, and I mean that literally. It didn’t lessen the blow at all, but when it happened, everything suddenly made sense.

I am also grateful that I saw a geneticist on Friday who confirmed my suspicions that I have what he calls an “unspecified connective tissue disorder,” only because he doesn’t want to “label me” with full Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type just yet. Sounds like I need some more spontaneous injuries first. But for all intents and purposes, I have EDS. Really, I meet the criteria and the diagnosis is based on a subjective physical exam that’s also based on the skill of the examiner. And the results could have changed had I been more relaxed. So it’s a relief to know that I’m not a crazy hypochondriac. I am indeed a zebra.

I am looking forward to having no doctor’s appointments this week (I have four next week.) And as I discuss in this post, I’m working on accepting my new jobless self and new life for what it is and just going with it. It’s a new journey. Let’s see where it leads.
