Share Your World: July 16, 2018

July 17, 2018 ribbonrx Comments 2 comments

It has been almost a year since I last participated in the weekly Share Your World blog posts. I really missed them, but always enjoyed reading everyone else’s while I’ve been in this prolonged blogging slump. Maybe if I force myself to post something, it will help banish the brain fog!

This will be a weekly post of the most random of random questions to answer- to share my world! Thanks to Cee’s blog for being the brainchild behind this!

Since we are approaching the hottest part of our summer in the northern hemisphere, what’s your favorite ice-cream, frozen yogurt or sorbet flavor? (Those of you who live down under I’m sure you remember what it is like in the hot summer months).

As far as flavors go, my favorite is called Moose Tracks. Essentially, it’s vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge mixed in…plus mini peanut butter cups! I am a peanut butter cup fiend, especially if it’s in ice cream!

That being said…no frozen dessert of any kind can beat Italian gelato! Chocolate and stracciatella have always been my favorites any time I’ve been to Italy!

How often do you people watch?

I am one day going to be that old lady in the neighborhood who hides behind her curtains and watches people. Wait…you mean I already do that? Oh. Well then. I’m a curious person.

If you had a choice which would be your preference: salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?

There can only be one answer for me: fresh water lakes! I grew up a few miles south of the shore of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes) and currently live two miles from the shore of Lake Erie (another of the Great Lakes.) I don’t think I am ever supposed to be far from a lake!

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Two months ago, I took on a position as volunteer website coordinator and editor-in-chief at a chronic illness support group called The Unchargeables. I’m really making things up as I go along. I find myself getting frustrated with myself occasionally over things I mostly can’t control. But then our fearless leader of The Unchargeables said to me the other day, “I hope you stay with me very, very long.” And that made me feel so much better.

It is so wonderful to see you again. You definitely know what I mean by large lakes. I grew up on the north shore of Lake Superior (Minnesota). 😀
